PET PORTRAIT COMMISSIONS

STEP 1: CHOOSE YOUR SIZE
Choose the size that you would like your pet portrait to be. Keep in mind certain sizes will be too small to do multiple pets or a full body piece. The price list has a guide for the best sizes for your portrait. I offer custom sizes on request so if you do not see the size you are looking for let me know and I can create a tailored quote to your request.

STEP 2: SELECT YOUR PHOTOS
I cannot stress enough how important good quality photos are. The main rule of thumb is “the better the photo, the better the portrait”- have a look at my photo guide for some helpful tips on how to take a great photo. If this is for a beloved pet that has passed away- I understand you cannot take any other photos, and so I ask you to send multiple in order to see your pets features and personality.

I work from one main photo for each animals pose and can use others for details to truly capture your pet. If commissioning artwork depicting more than one animal in a piece it is very helpful to see a group photo of the pets in order to judge the size relationships between each other. For the actual painting however, individual photos are often combined to get the best picture/pose of each pet. Don't stress if you can't get them to pose together!
