For this short series, titled “Crystals”, I matched the personalities and aura of women with the traits a crystal possesses. Paula, my model for this piece, radiates kindness and love in every aspect of her life. She is a caring and nurturing mother, a powerful poet, and a loving partner. While her love for those around her is undeniable, this piece is meant to show the love for herself. Many times in life women give all of their love to others and leave none for themselves. I made this piece as a reminder to women to take time to love themselves everyday. With real rose quartz crystals resined into the painting, the loving energy will continuously pour out from this piece.
Rose quartz is a crystal known for its delicate pink hue and is often associated with love, compassion, and feminine energy. Just like the multifaceted nature of women, rose quartz possesses several remarkable properties. It exudes a gentle and nurturing energy as well as encourages self-love and acceptance, promoting emotional healing and harmony. Additionally, this crystal is believed to enhance relationships and attract love, resonating with the deep desire for connection and intimacy that is often cherished by women. The soothing and calming vibrations of rose quartz reflect the ability of women to bring comfort and serenity to those around them. In essence, the properties of rose quartz beautifully parallel the strength, tenderness, and loving nature often associated with women.
