Isac Gres

Born on November 29th, 1993, in Bayamo, Cuba, Isac Gres's artistic journey was shaped by financial hardships and a scarcity of resources. From a young age, Isac displayed remarkable resilience, using his mother’s white sheets to create canvases for his artwork. This ingenuity laid the foundation for his commitment to art despite economic struggles. At 14, Isac's breakthrough came when he sold his first painting for $5, a pivotal moment that fueled his determination. His time at the E.I.A Josh Marty Pérez further shaped his style, where he explored cubism, hyper-realism, and eventually discovered a passion for surrealism.

Isac’s path to becoming a respected artist also involved significant personal growth and unexpected opportunities. During his time at the academy, a fellow student helped him connect with a woman who provided him with art supplies in exchange for his paintings. This arrangement allowed him to continue his studies while overcoming financial barriers. After completing his education, Isac served in the Cuban Army, which instilled a sense of discipline. He later studied psychology at the Celia Sanchez Manduley institute but felt a stronger calling to art, eventually leaving Cuba in 2019 to pursue his dreams abroad.

After moving to Uruguay, Isac established Isac Ink and quickly gained recognition in the local tattoo industry. However, his desire to reunite with his family led him to undertake a challenging journey through 12 countries to reach the United States. In Miami, Isac immersed himself in a vibrant artistic community, working at a local tattoo studio while continuing his painting. His art gained attention from galleries, and his exhibitions became a testament to his artistic evolution. Today, Isac's work explores human experiences and identity, using his art to foster understanding and inspire change. His journey serves as a beacon of resilience, highlighting the transformative power of art.
