Juliann is a passionate painter with a rich and varied background. In past lives, she’s been a law school graduate, a classics PhD student, an art history teacher, and a college counselor. But in 2019, everything changed when she began following painting tutorials by the Art Sherpa on YouTube—it felt like coming home. Since then, she has tabled at comic conventions, sold artwork at outdoor shows, and even exhibited her pieces at the Red Dot Art Fair during Miami Art Week. Juliann currently enjoys working in oil, acrylic, and oil pastel, often blending the mediums. Her subjects are always women, usually adorned with fantasy elements—because, in her words, reality on its own is pretty boring. On a typical day, she can be found in her cozy 9x9 art studio, listening to horror audiobooks, covered in pastel and paint, and deeply immersed in her latest creation.
