About

Tony Adams creates bold, layered paintings that channel raw intuition and emotional intensity, transforming chaos into vibrant expressions of empowerment, resilience, and self-discovery. His dynamic compositions burst with energetic color, explosive textures, and emergent forms, often blending abstract foundations with figurative revelations pulled from the subconscious. Working intuitively without preconceived plans, Adams embraces spontaneity—using unorthodox tools and allowing “mistakes” to guide the process—resulting in works that pulse with authenticity and invite viewers into their own journeys of reflection and courage.

Adams discovered painting in late 2018 through an intuitive art course at the Dunedin Fine Arts Center in Florida. What began as a casual exploration during the pandemic quickly evolved into a full commitment, with his first public exhibition and sale at the Epicurean Hotel in 2020 marking the launch of a rapid ascent in the Tampa Bay art scene. His large-scale acrylic works, rich in mixed media and spontaneous mark-making, reflect a fusion of street-edge influences from his Bronx roots and the vibrant, multicultural energy of South Florida.

A rising force in contemporary intuitive art, Adams has exhibited at major events including Art Basel Miami (Spectrum), Gasparilla Arts Festival, and collaborations with Tampa City Ballet. His pieces grace prominent collections such as the Epicurean Hotel, Tampa Club, and private residences. Deeply engaged in the community, he participates in festivals, charitable causes, and mentorship while maintaining a practice rooted in letting go, embracing the unexpected, and empowering others through creative expression.

Based in Tampa, Florida, Adams continues to push boundaries through solo shows like “Threshold” and “Visions of Intuition,” inspiring audiences to show up fully for themselves and find beauty in the unpredictable.
