About
Sean Paul Flores (b. 1993, Los Angeles) lives and works in Los Angeles.
A defining voice in contemporary Pop art, Sean Paul Flores channels the electric pulse of Los Angeles street culture into visually explosive mixed-media works that fuse bold graphic immediacy with raw emotional depth. Flores’s practice—spanning painting, sculpture, and assemblage—transforms the visual language of graffiti, advertising, celebrity, and urban ephemera into layered commentaries on identity, memory, and the spectacle of modern life in the city that invented it.
Drawing from the vibrant chaos of his native Los Angeles, Flores builds dense, chromatic compositions that vibrate with the same restless energy found in the city’s billboards, murals, and sun-bleached signage. His signature use of mixed media—acrylic, spray paint, collage, found objects, and sculptural elements—creates surfaces that feel both tactile and hyper-real, oscillating between celebration and critique. Flores captures the seductive gloss of Pop while grounding it in personal narrative: loss, resilience, fatherhood, and the complex inheritance of street life refracted through a distinctly West Coast lens.
Flores emerged from the LA street-art scene in the early 2010s and has since built an international following with works that speak fluently to both gallery audiences and the culture that inspires them. His paintings and sculptures have been exhibited across the United States and acquired by prominent private collections worldwide, including those of notable celebrities, athletes, and tastemakers. With pieces sold in over eighteen countries, Flores represents a new generation of LA artists who move fluidly between studio practice, street roots, and the global contemporary market.
Elegant yet unapologetically bold, Flores’s work embodies the contradictions of Los Angeles itself: glamour and grit, surface and substance, ephemerality and permanence. At once accessible and sophisticated, his art captures the fleeting icons of our time and renders them eternal.
Sean Paul Flores continues to expand the possibilities of Pop art for the twenty-first century, creating from his Los Angeles studio works that resonate far beyond the city’s sun-drenched streets.
