About
Janelle Marie Kelley is a self-taught visual artist based in St. Petersburg, Florida, specializing in 3D mixed media with acrylic and resin as her primary mediums. Her work transforms realistic characters and imagery into vivid, multidimensional experiences through layers of fluid acrylic pours, resin, collage, digitally manipulated photography, and embedded tangible objects that appear to leap from the surface.
Janelle is best known for her signature fusion of photo-realism and fluid art, as well as her striking exotic sea life pieces. Her art blends pop culture icons, high fashion, celebrities, fictional characters, and bold natural elements (such as animals and underwater scenes) with playful sparkle, translucent effects, and unexpected materials. The result is flamboyant, immersive work that invites viewers into a mind space of wonder, beauty, escape, and multidimensional perspective — offering a vibrant contrast to the unpredictability of the world around us.
Born and raised in Florida, Janelle turned what began as a hobby in 2021 into a full-time career. In addition to her art practice, she brings over a decade of experience as a licensed stylist, makeup artist, and barber, which informs her keen eye for detail, color, and composition.
Her pieces are highly sought after for their depth, energy, and ability to make bold, outlandish statements while remaining deeply engaging. Janelle’s work is collected and exhibited throughout Florida (Tampa, St. Petersburg, Miami, Key West) and has been shown at major events including Art Expo New York and Art Basel Miami.
